HARD CANYONING LEVEL
Torrent de Mortitx
This torrent rises at the foot of the majestic summit of Tomir but it is only in the last part of the course when Mortitx descends. We will end up with the impressive cliffs of the brave Mallorcan coastline, giving a special marine air and a character that is not to be found in any other of the canyons in the mainland. This canyon is said to be fun due to the many jumps along its course, however it has a false appearance due to the many accidents ocurred at Mortitx and there fore special precaution is always needed.

Torrent Des Gorg Blau – Sa Fosca
It is “the king” of the Mallorcan canyons. Here we have water, lenght, unevenness and technique. It was explored for the first time in 1965. The walls are more than 300m high and at some points the gap is only about 35cm wide. The canyon rises at the feet of the massifs of th Puig Major, Tossals and es Teix, the nowadays named Gorg Blau, it continues to Almallutx and it finally finishes inside the Torrent de Pareis. Sa Fosca is a symphony to the beauty of nature where the musical notes are written with water and the pentagram is vertical. What can be said about such an exuberance? It is not a compliment: It is a reality. This karstic gorge is peculiar for its 400m length of total darkness. The outstanding features of this canyon are the fact that it is very long and that there is water throughout the course; therefore , it is expected to loose corporal heat during the activity.
